Groom FFA students worked to hold an "Ag Fair" as a finale to their FFA Week celebrations. Activities were held throughout the week including a daily trivia contest and a Blue and Gold Day. Today, students showed off their hard work and learning. Groups of students put together booths and invited the Elementary students up for a visit. The booths included Horse Safety, Parts of a Western Saddle, Sheep Products, Food Science CDE, Welding, and a Froom Moo to You booth. The booth was part of some students SAE projects (Supervised Agricultural Experience), or CDE (Career Developement Event) that they are training for. We hope the students enjoyed the event and learned something, too!
This week during the Small Animal Management class we have been studying the immune system. Students made and stained their own slides to complete a cell differential count. The blood was obtained from a dog at the local veterinary clinic. They were able to see red blood cells, neutrophils and lymphocytes. Microscope photos were taken by Cody Kling. |
